Thomas Edwards III
Thomas (Tom) established TLC Property Maintenance, a family oriented company, in 1988. Prior to this, he had a significant amount of management experience working at Chili’s, Red Lobster, and UPS. After working for these large corporations, he chose to pursue more entrepreneurial endeavors. Tom has many certifications and credentials. He’s an ISA Certified Arborist as well as a Certified Pest Control Operator, a Florida Contractor, and is proficient in the installation and operation of Irrigation Systems. He has completed the Pinellas County Landscape Maintenance Best Management Practices (BMP) program and has completed the Entre Leadership course through Dave Ramsey Leadership Group.
Tom has been married to his wife, Donna, since 1984. They have three adult children and three grandchildren. TLC is named after their children, Tommy, Lauren, and Carly. Tommy owns his own landscaping company, Lauren is TLC’s Office Manager, and Carly works in the fashion industry.
Tom enjoys exercising, dancing, recreational poker tournaments, sports and spending time with family and friends. He has also adopted many animals including horses, cows, dogs, and cats.
Robert "Buddy" Bell
Landscape Property Manager
Robert (Buddy) Bell has been in the landscaping industry since 2002 and with TLC since 2009. He manages TLC’s landscape and tree teams. Buddy likes to be known as a working manager. He can often be found working alongside his team members and with current and potential clients to provide professional quality landscape services tailored to meet and exceed their needs. Buddy has completed the Pinellas County Landscape Maintenance Best Management Practices (BMP) program and is a BMP instructor. He has also completed the FIS and Pentair Training Institute’s Water System School training program for irrigation. Buddy is working on his arborist certification and attends continuing education courses to keep apprised of ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards.
Buddy has been married to TLC’s Office Manager, Lauren, since 2009. They have two awesome daughters. Buddy reports to his father-in-law, Tom, here at TLC. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding ATVs with his family.
Todd VanderMeulen joined TLC in 2017. Todd brings 18 years of managerial and landscape experience, specializing in commercial irrigation and environmental land use planning. Todd has extensive experience managing multi-state accounts, clients, and work crews. He also has knowledge and experience in commercial irrigation, from bidding to emergency repairs. Todd has extensive experience in working closely with municipal personnel, as well as individual clients with specific regulation of land use and wetlands development.
Personally, Todd is deeply committed to his wife of 23 years and their three children. Free time revolves around family and church activities, leaving little time for Todd to pursue his avid interest in competitive shooting.
Lauren has been around the TLC office most of her life. In the summer of her middle school years, Lauren began helping out by filing in the TLC office. After graduating from PHCC with her AA degree, she began working full time as TLC’s Office Manager in 2005. Lauren has watched TLC grow from using beeper/pagers, Nextel radios, and hand written forms to completely electronic means of communication (phone, email, and chats/texts) and an increasingly paperless company.
With the help of the Administrative Team (Brittany and Devyn), Lauren is able to work fewer hours. This allows her more time with her family. Lauren is the “L” in TLC. She works with her father, Tom, here at TLC. She has been married to one of TLC’s Landscape Property Managers, Buddy, since 2009. They have two incredible daughters, Layla and Cecily, who love to come to the office to visit their grandpa, “Pop Pop”, and daddy at work.
One of Lauren’s guiding principles comes from her father, “Work for what you want because it’s always earned, never given.” Lauren is proud to work at TLC, representing the heart and lineage of the TLC family.
Office Manager Assistant
Brittany joined the office team in July of 2017. Prior to coming to TLC, she was a district manager for At&t warranty retail stores of Atlanta, GA. Brittany has extensive background in providing a positive customer experience and works closely with TLC management and team members. She also maintains the TLC website and engages the general public through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Brittany is a native Floridian and enjoys spending Sundays watching and cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as well as spending time with her family and friends.
