CHEMICAL CARE

TLC Property Maintenance, Inc. will periodically inspect all plant materials for insect, disease, and fungi. Our two chemical programs are turf and shrub

Turf Program
Though our turf program is based on 5 applications, TLC Property Maintenance, Inc. recommends the full 7 application program for best results. Each spray service includes the other major and minor elements necessary for a healthy lawn. Each nutrient is changed throughout the year relative to grass type, soil type, season, and existing lawn needs.

Weed control is limited to the control of broad leaf weeds and applied as allowed by the law. Sedges and grassy weeds are not a part of this program. A program to control sedges and grassy weeds can be developed under a separate contract. Insecticides are applied to control chinch bugs and other turf damaging insects. Mole crickets , grubs, ants, fleas, ticks and nematodes are not included. Should treatment for these be required a program will be developed to control the above.

It is important to note that this program provides a minimum yearly rate of 4 pounds of nitrogen and 2 pounds of potassium per 1000 square feet of lawn area. This is the optimum proportion of these primary nutrients.

Shrub Program
Though our shrub program is based on 1 application, TLC Property Maintenance, Inc. recommends the full 3 application program for best results. Our shrub program is smaller in comparison to our turf program since insect control is provided on an as need basis.

TLC does not periodically spray insects on plants throughout the year, as this only creates extra cost to our clients and increases the pollution of our environment. Many plants naturally do not get insect problems, thus need not be sprayed. Plus, many insects have natural predators which can be killed by theses unnecessary spray applications.

It is important to note that this program will be applied at a rate of 3 pounds per 100 square feet.

Additional Services
Fire Ant Bait can be applied with 3 applications in the first year, then 2 applications per year there after.
